1. Information We Collect

The Service does not require account registration. We do not collect personal information such as names or email addresses. The following information may be collected automatically:

• Access logs (IP address, browser info, referrer URL, etc.)
• Anonymized analytics data via Google Analytics

2. Local Storage

The Service uses browser local storage to save language preferences and editing history. This data is primarily stored on your device. Exported files are saved on your device, and the exported file contents are not sent to our servers. Some features, including OCR, structure generation, and download history recording, may send input data or related metadata to our servers or external services for processing.

3. Analytics

We use Google Analytics to analyze usage. Google Analytics uses cookies but does not identify individuals. Please refer to Google's privacy policy for details.

4. Third-Party Disclosure

We do not sell collected information. We may send or share information with external services or contractors when required by law or when necessary to provide OCR, analytics, or other Service features.

5. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect collected information, but cannot guarantee complete security over the internet.

This policy may be updated without notice. Significant changes will be announced on this page.

8. MolSketch Browser Extension

This section explains how the MolSketch extension handles information when you select a chemical structure on a webpage.

• When you activate it, the extension briefly captures the visible tab, crops the area you explicitly select in your browser, and transfers only that cropped image. It does not continuously monitor or record the webpages you visit.
• The selected image is transferred to the MolSketch editor and sent to MolSketch's servers to recognize the chemical structure, convert it into editable data, and display it in the editor. It is not used for advertising or sold.
• The extension keeps the image in temporary browser session storage during transfer and removes it after the editor confirms receipt or when the editor tab closes. A temporary processing file on the recognition service is deleted after processing.
• After successful recognition, the selected image, recognized structure data, and a marker identifying the extension are saved in an administrative action history record.
• Infrastructure and recognition service providers needed to operate MolSketch may process the data. MolSketch does not sell captured images or other user data.
• Browser permissions are used for user-initiated selection and capture of the visible tab, transfer to the editor tab, and temporary storage. Production connections to MolSketch use HTTPS.
• This policy may be updated when the extension changes. Updates will be published here with a revised date.
